Dear Friends and Prayer Partners;

“….to equip God’s people to do His work and build up the Church, the body of
Christ….measuring up to the full structure of Christ” Ephesians 4: 12- 13

"For some time now I have been asking many questions in regards to what we measure as a Ministry. Is it to do with how many people participate in our conferences and Seminars or how many churches were impacting during a given period? It was during this time that a partner asked me to do a story of specific life changes or impact of our ministry. Here is such a story which I believe will encourage you in your prayer and support for the work we are doing in Ghana." Philip Tutu Ghana Country Director
ONE TRAI
NED LEADER MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN RURAL GHANA
I met with Emmanuel Nartey during ICM Ghana (MLM) Trainers Conference in Accra. He was such a humble and unassuming individual. He lives in a small town called Afienya, 40 kilometers from Accra. His heart is to reach his people (the unreached people of Dangme) and Fulanis - a nomadic group living around him. He participated in Purpose Driven and World Teach Seminars. He also took other teaching programs undertaken by our team. He is now a Certified Trainer for ICM Ghana.

In June 2007, Emmanuel felt led to be released by his church, as well as giving up his private transport business, so that he could fulfill the call of God on His life. As a leader, he targeted several villages too remote to reach. His efforts paid off with two villages having a church planted – Mampon and Bundase.

On Easter Sunday we drove together on a rough road into the big stone quarry areas to the first village, Mampon to meet the first church. I was told that there are 15 adults and 25 children that attend the church. On this particular day though, some of them had traveled out to another village to attend to family issues. It was a celebration of the Lord’s goodness.
Emmanuel took me to the next village which is 24 kilometers from the first church at 11.30am. It is located on Accra – Lome (Togo) road, near the Ghana Armed Forces training camp. The people there are strong idol worshippers. The Lord used Emmanuel to start the church, which I call it “God’s city in a jungle” It is one of the places where many churches will not go to start. We were welcomed by a waiting people who had been at Bondase since 9.30 praying.
The worship service was full of ‘life’ as they sang and danced to praise the Lord. This new church has erected a grass thatched roof hut. They did not have a church building, but they were happy and eager as I shared the Word of God with them.

Women and children were dancing and singing as we arrived in Bondase.

Emmanuel’s ministry is called – International Outreach Ministries. He has a vision and a burden to reach and plant churches in two villages this year. In the meantime he uses MLM manuals to train the new leaders every week. He told me “these materials are my reference books as leader, I review them every week”. The commitment and dedication to service by the people challenges me so much. This gives me confirmation that the teaching Emmanuel recited during the three years of MLM in Ghana has yielded fruit for eternity. What an investment! There are several dozen like Emmanuel across Ghana, whose story can make a whole book.
Brother Emmanuel told me “I used the MLM booklets to train the leaders. I use Becoming a Romans 12 Christian for Wednesday Bible teaching, Purpose Driven Life book for Sunday preaching and Invisible War workbook for Friday prayer meeting”. What can we expect? A people that will be growing with sound Bible teaching that will affect their families, neighbors and the nation. Please pray for Emmanuel and ICM Ghana’s work around the country.
This is what Emmanuel and many others like him are saying- “Thank you so much for this life changing training. I feel equipped and confident to do what God has placed in my heart”

Leadership Church Health Christian Maturity Relations & Family Life
We will value your prayer support as well any assistance you, your business and your Church can give to us to reach more leaders in the other Districts Regions of Ghana. While some leaders can help underwrite our cost in the cities, leaders in the less endowed Districts struggle to even pay a reasonable charge. We are therefore able to underwrite our cost through gifts and donations from friends like you. That is why we will value your contribution towards this great vision.
